A Whole Lot of Life Just Happened...

Wow.
"6th Grade Theater Kid"? That was long ago....
It may just be me, but time kind of ran away, just like I did with this blog. I'm in seventh-grade at All Saints. I'm in a show, the Encore Young Star show, called "Captain Louie", which is basically a show about friendship, dream travel, and happy Halloween adventures. I successfully completed 13 years of life. Right now I'm watching Don Lockwood telling everyone they "gotta' dance" with Catherine (www.catbaby2.blogspot.com) and Nolan. I'm in a band with Audra Osburn, Todd and Glory Ledbetter, and Matt Picarello (And Keith Roberts, tech producer), rockin' on the drums. I'm still playing guitar and climbing trees and listening to Deas Vail. Not much has changed, yet so much has. Or maybe I should shut up.

These Four Chords

Okay, so if you've never heard of the band The Classic Crime, you have not yet lived. They are amazing. I just wanted to establish that before we move on.
SOOOO, I'm debating whether or not to start a video blog, or, if you're close-minded, free-thinking hipster, a vlog. If I did, I'd probably be posting some song covers and random updates and adventures. Give me your input. Should I?

Oh Boy Oh Boy Boy Boy Oh Boys Will Be Boys... (pt. 2)

So. Did'ja like the shmancy way I split his post in half? Ha. Me neither. But, you know, I was at rehearsal for "The Music Man" and blogging from Mary's phone. Oh, gosh darn dadburn it. I just gave away the things you were 'sposed to live your life not knowing!!! Well, ANYWAY, I suppose you figured out that I am in a show called The Music Man. It's awesome. You should come see it.

Oh Boy Oh Boy Oh Boys Will Be Boys...

So. Guess where I'm at right now. Guess what device I'm blogging from. No. I'm not telling you. You'll just have to live your life not knowing. Ha. But I'll give you a hint. No, I won't. I know, I'm bad. :P So. There were some things I didn't tell you in the last post. I'm in two full blown shows right now. "Charlotte's Web" being the first. It's a touring show. We go to the schools and perform for the kiddies. More later. Gotta go.

At Least I've Made It This Far

So. A lot has happened since my last post. "BIG" is over. A new year has come. 2010. It's been a good year so far; it's only April. But it hasn't been the smartest year for me.

Hello, World of Blogging.

So, I probably won't be very good at this blogging thing, so just stick with me. My name is Gabe, I'm a 6th grade home schooler who, as you might have realized from the title, loves theater and acting. I also love to, in the little free time I have, occupy myself with photography, music, film making (I'm not very good at it, but I like doing it for fun), music, hanging out with my friends and family, and music. Yes, I said music three times. That's how much I love it. I play guitar, drums, bass, and a little piano. This year has been pretty crazy, with four plays and various other things that involve late nights, 10-minute trips to McDonalds, singing songs from "The Sound of Music" in Nashville at a festival, countless hugs, having to wear freakin' PANTYHOSE, playing Buddha, and making TONS of new, amazing friends. My theater life began earlier this year, when I auditioned for Encore Theatrical's production of "The Sound of Music". I kind of got talked into trying out, but the cast list came, and I was pretty excited. When the first practice came, I was hooked. I wanted theater, theater, theater. So when "The Sound of Music" was over, I just kept trying out for more plays. I auditioned for another Encore show, "Children's Letters to God". Good times. After CL2G, I tried out for a Theater Guild show, "The King and I". I was cast as Louis Leonowens, more fun times, more great people. Somewhere in the middle of rehearsals of "The King and I", I somehow found the time to audition for Encore's "BIG". If you know anything about this musical, I was cast as Josh Baskin, a 12-year-old kid who wishes he was "big" and wakes up the next morning as a 30-year old man. I think that pretty much covers this year so far, so I'll say goodbye to you and this blog. Until next time. Or until something interesting enough to blog about happens. Goodbye.
